The 6D Mark II makes high-performance, full-frame imaging even easier and features many advancements over its predecessor to improve every aspect of image capture and creation. Major updates include the use of a 26.2-megapixel CMOS sensor and DIGIC 7 image processor to deliver clearer, more vivid images in a variety of shooting situations. This setting offers an improved native sensitivity range of ISO 100-40,000, which can then be expanded to ISO 50-102,400, and a fast capture rate of up to 6.5 frames per second.

A full-cross autofocus system with 45 measuring points precisely tracks subjects to ensure crisp, clear images. It's a major improvement over its predecessor, allowing for faster subject capture. In addition to an improved autofocus system, the sensor also features Dual Pixel CMOS autofocus for improved focus in live view and video recording, which itself has been bumped up to Full HD at 60p. The setup works well with the 3.0-inch vari-angle, 1.04 million-dot touchscreen LCD, allowing use at different angles and having intuitive controls.

For hybrid still/video recording, you'll benefit from improved video quality and the ability to connect an external microphone via the 3.5mm input. Users can also create 4K time-lapse movies as well as HDR videos with special settings and modes. Additionally, the case design has been upgraded with improved ergonomics and durability, including dust and water resistance. Users also have access to a host of connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, NFC and Bluetooth for connecting to smart devices, as well as built-in GPS for geotagging photos.

An integrated GPS module allows you to geotag images from the camera and automatically time sync via satellite with universal timecode. The module is compatible with US GPS, Russian GLONASS and Japanese Quasi-Zenit-Michibiki satellites, providing a wide range of supported coverage.

An integrated intervalometer creates Ultra HD 4K time-lapse images and supports recording of consecutive images at preselected intervals.

Bluetooth can connect a smartphone or tablet for quick image sharing between devices as well as remote control functions.

Built-in Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity enables wireless sharing, control and image transfer with compatible smart devices and the CS100 Connect Station.
